TTouch Workshops

NOT YOUR TYPICAL OBEDIENCE CLASS

These workshops focus on the Tellington Touch (TTouch) method of working with animals. TTouch focuses on building a better relationship with your dog by increasing your dog’s self confidence, and giving you more information on how you can work with your dog. TTouch introduces you and your dog to new and different experiences through Mindful TTouches, Free Work and the Course of Higher Learning. Learn new ways that help you both make more effective choices. and approach (challenging) circumstances in a different way. More info @ ttouch.com

Judy Powers has been a Tellington Touch Practitioner for over twenty years. She continues to assist at workshops across North America, attend seminars, and further her education with this constantly evolving and transformative method of touches, and many other ways of working with our animals.

2-HOUR WORKSHOPS OFFERED ON SATURDAYS 2 PM-4 PM

$40 per workshop ($30 if registered a week before each workshop)

These workshops can be informative with or without your dog. It may be easier to listen and learn if you chose to come animal free. Then you can take the tools home and use them with your puppy in a less stressful environment. After all YOU are the one learning these techniques.

October 5        Bonding/Understanding Their Body Language

YOU WILL: improve your observation skills: start seeing how and what you are doing that is (and isn’t) working: develop an awareness of what your dog is communicating (learn how to listen and understand what they are actually “saying”); and how to communicate in ways your dog can understand.

October 19        Loose Leash Walking

One of you needs to stop pulling. And guess what? That’s YOU!!! Techniques and equipment that enable you and your dog to comfortably & pleasantly walk with a loose leash.

November 2    Bonding with Mindful TTouches

Mindful touches that you and your dog will find calming and pleasant rather than our often (overly) enthusiastic petting and patting. Once you develop an awareness you may notice what dogs do and DO NOT enjoy. It can be eye opening. TTouches also help with physical pain, reactivity, pre/post op, etc.

November 16   Learning to calm down your reactive dog

There are many things we can do differently to help our dogs be more relaxed and comfortable in this stressful world. This class will be limited to three dogs that have had some private sessions before hand.
